“Talking about grief doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom”

Incase you want to know a little more about me…

I’m a British girl who moved to Australia in 2019 to chase the sun - only to realise that Melbourne has more seasons than the UK.

When I’m not talking about grief, death and everything in between, you can find me adventuring the outdoors with my fiance and our rescue pooch, Ronnie a.k.a Rondog. When the weather isn’t playing ball, I’ll most likely be baking (and eating) lots of indulgent treats in our kitchen or watching a classic ‘who did it’ style thriller.

I spend a large portion of my spare time volunteering with organisations that align with my values and given the chance, I’ll get you to come along and help too!

In the UK, I was proud to be announced the first ambassador for Child Bereavement UK and have completed several qualifications in grief, loss and mental health.

Grow with Grief is truly my passion and I’m grateful everyday for the people I get to meet and stories I am blessed to hear along the way.

Thank you for being here.

Hey, I’m Katrina and I’m the founder of Grow with Grief.

Grow with Grief was initially created as a podcast that gave individuals around the world an opportunity to share their story of grief and loss, bringing more awareness to an emotion we will all inevitably experience in our lifetime. After the death of my Mother when I was 15, followed by another 6 relatives by the age of 23, I didn’t want others to feel misunderstood and alone in the same way that I did for so long.

Since then, our community has grown and we are now leading the conversation in grief literacy and education. Through workshops, seminars and community events, we create a space for all forms of grief to be witnessed, validated and acknowledged.

Our approach shows that talking about grief doesn’t have to be all doom and gloom. Through candid conversation and pro-active engagement in learning, we can feel empowered in taking the steps to make the uncomfortable, comfortable.

Whether you’re a business, school, community group or individual, Grow with Grief is here to welcome you into the conversation.
